Recuperator filters are an important element of the ventilation system. They help maintain good indoor air quality.
Recuperator filters are designed for cleaning supply and exhaust air. Filters designed for cleaning supply air clean the air supplied to the premises from solid particles and protect the heat exchanger itself and its parts from contamination. Filters designed for cleaning exhaust air protect the heat exchanger heat exchanger from dust, thus maintaining high heat exchanger efficiency.
Heat recovery filters – how often do they need to be changed?
According to the manufacturer's recommendations, filters should be replaced every 2-3 months. For example, if you live near busy streets or in another more polluted area, recuperator filter may need to be changed more often.
Filters should be replaced immediately if you are alerted by the indicator light.
A filter filled with dirt passes air less efficiently, indoor air quality deteriorates, the heat recovery unit uses more energy, operates at lower capacity and emits more noise!
How to choose a recuperator filter?
First of all, you need to know what model your heat exchanger is. In our e-shop you can choose from two filter types G4 ir F7. You can find the highest quality, original products at this link filters for ATREA heat exchangers.
G4 filter (exhaust air filter) – retains medium-sized solid particles, indoor dust and protects the parts of the recuperator from dust getting on them and damaging the parts of the device. The G4 filter is perfect for primary air purification.
F7 filter (supply air filter) – denser, retains more fine air pollution particles (dust, pollen, smoke, etc.) and microorganisms (mold, bacteria, etc.). It is recommended for use with air supplied from the outside. Since the filter is denser and retains more pollution particles, it may need to be changed slightly more often.
